Visit Abu Dhabi, United ArabicEmirates. Part 3.

Abu Dhabi is the capital of United Arabic Emirates. Even though Abu Dhabi city is not as well know as Dubai, but the city is modern and  full with high buildings. The main travel spot of the city is a grand mosque which is the 8th largest mosque in the world and largest in United Arabic Emirates. The mosques is known as Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.  The mosque is the more beautiful than I saw in Turkey. The Sheikh Zayed Mosque made some world records such as world largest carpet and largest chandelier. The design of the Mosque can be best described as a fusion of Arab, Mughah and Moorish architecture. Besides the mosques, the city also has culture village, clean beach, shopping center and Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi.

Day 3

After checked out on 12 pm, I went to Ethihad Airway branch in Dubai to get a free bus ticket returned back to Abu Dhabi Airport. The things that made so surprised was I could check in my luggage and collected my air ticket in Dubai, even though the airport was in Abu Dhabi. This made me so simple to travel half day in Abu Dhabi city. I arrived Abu Dhabi International Airport after 2 hours from Dubai. I pay AED4 to airport bus to city center. One and half hour was needed to travel from airport to city center. The bus was so special because the front seats was only allowed to women and all men sat behind of the bus. I asked driver to drop me to Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. All women were needed to wear black Arabian costume before entered to the mosque whereas the male who wore a short pants needed to change a Arabian costume too. Even though I wore a long jeans, but I went to change too, because this was very good chance to take a picture with Arabian costume.

After visited the grand mosque, I went to city center by bus. The whole duration was 1 hour. When the bus drove in the city, I could see so many high buildings and the buildings were a row by a row, those were very good arrangement. I stopped on the beach for 15 minutes, because I was so hunger, so i went very fast to Marina Mall  to have my lunch and hang around in the mall. Then I went to marina outside of the mall, the place was very suitable to have a nice picture. Then I walked to the beach back.

Old Golden Dubai, United Arabic Emirates, Part 2

In fact, Dubai is not only has all modern buildings, a full with ancient city are situated east of Dubai. Even though old city does not have high enough buildings, but the old city is more beautiful than the new one. The old architecture and traditional shops are the main spot of Arabic culture. You will more understand the city, their culture and people. You can find some cheaper traditional products like spice, gold, textiles and souvenir.

Day 2

That day, I woke up very early. Because I knew that morning was the golden hour of old city, so that was the most busy time. I went to old city by bus since now have no any metro to reach market. At the beginning, I went to Gold souk where I could see different gold products and those were cheap due to tax free. Of course I would not buy them, I just had a look of them outside gold shops. I could not believe that the gold products were so luxury and I never see in Malaysia. Those really made me shocked.

These gold products made me shock.

After a few minutes walk, I reached to Spice Souk. There I could buy some cheaper spices, most of them were imported from India. At the same time, I also could see carpet shop just next of the street.

Different spices were sold in the market.

Then I walked 5 minutes to a jetty. I took abra (boat) from Deira to Bur Dubai, that is cheap only AED1. By the way, I could see a amazing view of the old city. Wow... I cannot imagine that. After I crossed the river, there have so many textiles and souvenirs were sold in Bur Dubai. Remember to ask discount from the shop.
I bought a lot of souvenirs to my parents, because the prices was really cheap.

After visited every souk and shopping, I went to visit museum. I felt really hungry since I did not take my breakfast. Because I knew that I would eat camel meat on the day. The restaurant was very near to jetty where was just next to the mosques in front the jetty. I ordered one camel meat rice and a cup of camel milk, the bill was AED 60 plus. Even though that was expensive, but that was a very good chance to try the foods. I strongly believe that was very hard to find in Malaysia. The portion was big enough for 2 people and the restaurant's environment was nice. Must Try!!!
